I was so honored to find out that Honey and Me was shortlisted for the New Jersey Library Association’s 2024-2025 Garden State Book Award! Congratulations to all the winners!

And in thrilling news: Honey and Me has been nominated for the 2026 Nēnē Award: Hawai’i’s Children’s Choice Book Award!

Each spring Hawaiʻi’s fourth through sixth grade students vote for their favorite chapter book and graphic novel from a list of 30 nominees compiled by The Nēnē Committee. How incredible that children on the other side of the world from me are reading Honey and Me!
